NaJeebah T. Shareef
ILF Transportation Founder
President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

NaJeebah Shareef founded ILF Transportation in 2013 in Northeast Ohio when she identified an urgent need for non-emergency medical transportation services for clients. In the past ten years, Mrs. Shareef has achieved that goal and has rapidly grown the business and expanded its service reach beyond transportation to include courier and delivery services, as well as logistics. In addition, ILF Transportation's certifications have allowed ILF Transportation to branch out into other professional services.

Directly responsible for the company’s strategic plan, mission, and vision, Mrs. Shareef’s judicious leadership has led to acquiring certifications that continue to move ILF Transportation in an expansive direction. The company is certified as an 8(a), HUBZone, EDWOSB, WOSB, MBE, DBE, and LSBE firm that services corporate, city, county, state, and government agencies.

Most recently, Mrs. Shareef instrumentally led the expansion of ILF Transportation's reach to the growing east-coast region of Jacksonville (JAX), Florida where she has been honored to become a JAX Chamber Trustee. Trustees of the chamber are Jacksonville's top corporate and community leaders who play an integral role in the direction and growth of the region's business community.

Alumni of the national Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, Mrs. Shareef focused on the successful development of an ongoing strategic and customized growth plan for ILF Transportation. 10,000 Businesses help create jobs and economic opportunities by providing access to education, capital, and support services to members accepted into the program.

She has been honored with many awards in Northeast Ohio since the founding of ILF Transportation. Nationally, Mrs. Shareef was featured as a success story by The Story Exchange, an award-winning nonprofit media organization highlighting women business owners across the U.S. She received a national award from Minority Business Entrepreneur (MBE) for her successful business initiatives, as well as her non-profit veteran assistance efforts. Read more ILF Transportation News »

Mrs. Shareef received a Bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Science from North Carolina A&T State University. In addition, she completed courses in the Leadership master's program as well as Non-Profit Administration at Cleveland State University in Ohio. She and her five sisters all graduated from HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). The youngest of the sisters, she attended Morris College near her hometown in South Carolina for two years, then transferred to North Carolina A&T State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Mrs. Shareef’s husband and older brother both served in the U.S. Military.

ILF Transportation was founded after Mrs. Shareef offered support to a homeless veteran on the streets one day which changed her life forever. She discovered there were insufficient resources available for veterans in need and dedicated her efforts to providing assistance services — including transportation — and encouraging employment to qualified veterans. She has also volunteered at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic, as well as other local, community, and state organizations across the country.

Mrs. Shareef's hobbies are traveling, golfing, playing tennis, and many other outdoor activities. She has found that these recreational ventures are a great way to relieve stress and enjoy life.
